Family, friends, and loved ones are mourning the death of Kiara Cross-Taylor, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister who passed away on July 7, 2026, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She was 36 years old.
Kiara’s passing has brought sadness to her family and the many people who knew her. Those close to her remember her for the love she showed her family, her caring nature, and the warmth she brought into the lives of others.

Kiara was deeply devoted to her family and took pride in the relationships she built throughout her life. She was remembered as a compassionate and supportive person who cared deeply for those around her.
Her family described her life through the love she gave as a wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Her presence will be missed by relatives, friends, and others who had the opportunity to know her.
Kiara is survived by her husband, Anthony Taylor of Altamonte Springs, Florida, and her children, Briyan (Ariel) Jackson of Belleville, Illinois; Anthony Taylor Jr. of Altamonte Springs; Lillie Love Hodges; Gracie Nicole Hodges; and Lonnie Leah Hodges, all of East St. Louis, Illinois.
She is also survived by her mother, Fabian (Leon) Kerby of East St. Louis, her brother Elijah Patterson of Okinawa, Japan, her sister Keiona (Derrick) Pirtle of Orlando, one grandchild, and a large extended family of relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Kiara Cross-Taylor
Family and friends will have the opportunity to pay their respects during visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Christ United Missionary Baptist Church in East St. Louis, Illinois.
Funeral services will follow immediately after the visitation.
A Life Remembered
As loved ones gather to honor Kiara’s life, they will remember the love, kindness, and devotion she shared with those closest to her.
Although her life ended at the age of 36, the memories she created with her family and friends will remain with them. Her loved ones continue to remember Kiara Cross-Taylor and the important place she held in their lives.
